Student of the Month: Peyton Barry 
1. How do you feel getting chosen to be the student of the month (SOTM)?
 Terrific because I am so blessed to have won an admired title!
2. Why do you think you were chosen to be the SOTM?
  I work hard in school, and get great grades!
3. Do you like going to school?
  Absolutely! I love Bowie!
4. What kind of grades do you make?
   Great ones
5. Do you think that people enjoy your company?
   I do because I tend to be a very funny person and people seem to like that quality.
6. What kind of extracirriculars  do you do?
   Lacrosse for Bowie, and club soccer
7. Do they take up a lot of your time?
   Oh my gosh yes!
8. What do you do in your free time?
   I watch a lot TV and hang out with friends
9. What classes are you taking right now?
   All preap classes
10. How much time do you study for them in a normal week?
  About 3 hours per class
11. Is there a preferred way you study?
  I study with flashcards
12. Do you enjoy study groups?
  No, because people cannot keep up with me
13. What websites help you study?
Kahoot
14. Are you a hands on, visual, or an audible learner?
visual because I can understand better that way
15. How much time do you spend with your friends a week?
  Many days out of the week
16. how much time are you on your phone during the day?
  not that much actually
17. What time do you wake up/go to bed everyday?
wake up at 7, go to bed around 10:30-11
18. Do you plan on going to college?
 yes
19. If yes, which school is your dream school? If not, what do you want to do?
 Harvard
20. What is your ideal job?
 I want to be a school janitor because I love high school!

SIMPLICITY In this photo, I focused on simplicity. What is in focus, is a part of the girls hair and face, but you can also the action of what she is doing. If I had put the whole photo into focus nothing would be standing out to the viewer. THIRD PERSON In this photo, my composition rule was third person. I could have put the girl in far left, in the center, but then it would have changed what your audience was seeing. I wanted them to see the girl, but also where she was. Since the girl who I was really striving to make the subject, is not really the first thing you might see, I probably would have changed my focus manually. AVOIDING MERGERS I really tried to follow the composition rule of  avoiding mergers in this photo. As you can see there is a girl, and behind her you can see a chalkboard with a metal strip at the top that would have looked like it was cutting into the head of the girl if I hadn't put her as just the focus. Front Pages of the World

1. My favorite newspaper I came across was one from Bismark, North Dakota called "The Bismark Tribune." This one is my favorite because it has eye capturing photos and not over taking text that looks too wordy. Also it has a calm color scheme that is nice to the eye. 2. My favorite headline from the newspaper is "Panda cub Bao Bao bound for China" because it is about pandas, and who doesn't want to read about a baby panda named Bao Bao? 3. There are 3 main stories on my front page, and a long caption to a photo. 4. All the newspapers I looked at have around 4 stories on the front page, 2-3 photos, and one dominant headlining story. 5. Something very different between all the newspapers is obviously language, and how the pages are laid out. All of them have different layouts which make them unique. 1. Something that our school newspaper has that other normal newspapers don't have is more personal stories and something that can relate to a younger crowd

1. Photography Resolutions for 2016 http://petapixel.com/2014/12/31/10-photography-resolutions-new-year/ On this website, I really paid attention to what the writers resolutions were. I was very interested in the pictures that went along with the text, but I was more hooked to the reading portion of it, only because there was great description AND it was talking about New Year's resolutions which is very relevant to this time of year since the new year is right around the corner. I really did like the photos because they added more content about the writers goals for the upcoming year and sort of an example of what she was trying to accomplish. This is my favorite photo from the website because it's SO COOL. I really hope I can capture a photo like this in the future.
