FAVORITE PHOTOS OF 2016
|
I am huge fan of David Bowie and his fantastic work, and was very affected
by his death this year. It was a sad occurrence, and a mourning people all over the world shared.
I enjoy this photo because you not only see the crowd of people, but you see the two eyes of Bowie staring at you. |

This is MOST DEFINITELY my favorite shot of 2016. All the faces of the crowd
are hilarious and the best one yet, Donald Trumps. But I do think the babies faces say it all,
this is our new president guys... |

I really like this photo because of the balance and lines it has included in it.
Also the divide between the two waters is really creative and mesmerizing.

FAVORITE SONG OF 2016
|
Rihanna's song "Love on the Brain" was my favorite song of the year.
During 2016, MANY great songs were produced and published and all turned into hits
that were listened to daily, but as far as this song goes. This was always playing through my headphones.
Not only is Rihanna a complete GODESS, but her work is flawless too.
Her singing is something you could never get tired of, and the sounds of her songs never leave your head.
FAVORITE MOVIE OF 2016
|
|
Rogue One was BY FAR the BEST movie I saw all year. Maybe in all my LIFE.
Dang it was really good. I chose this movie as my number one favorite because I have a love of Star Wars
like no other human. I didn't get the chance to see a ton of movies this year, but out of all the ones I did see, Star Wars was the best. It attracted me because of the great characters and really sick plot.
MOST IMPORTANT NEWS STORY OF 2016
|
|
The news story "Music Legend Prince Dies" was in my personal belief,
the most iconic news story of the year. It was something no one was expecting, and a day we
all played purple rain on repeat. I choose this news story because even if you were not a super big fan of prince, it somehow affected you. Performers started covering "Purple Rain" on their tours, and songs memorials were held world wide.
MOST IMPORTANT PERSON OF 2016
In my life, Michelle Obama was the most important of 2016.
She spoke out not only for women, but people in general, who had no voice.
She traveled around the world helping people in need and raising money for things like healthy lunches for schools.
She attracts my attention because she knows what she is talking about. When she gives a speech, it is powerful, dominating, intelligent and intriguing. On the plus side, she didn't have to steal anyones speech to make her look knowledgable.
BEST SPORT STORY OF 2016
|
|
The Cubs winning the world series this year was definitely a major event of 2016.
I chose this because I am a baseball fan, and have been following the cubs for a few years now, hoping that they would
have this exciting moment. Baseball is the only sport I enjoy watching so this win was a great moment in my year. |
MY HOLIDAY
Over the holiday break I spent time with my family and close friends. All my family lives in Austin, so we have no reason to travel out of state which can be easier, but less exciting. BUT on Christmas Eve, my family sat down on our computers in our pajamas scavenging for a vacation. The next day after our visit to my grandmas house, we were on a plane to Costa Rica! We wanted to go to Honduras, but Costa Rica is just as fantastic. We went zip lining, went on hanging bridges 180 feet in the air, played with sloths and monkeys, and spent New Years eating Spanish cuisine and singing Shakira. It was a adventure I will never forget!
I only have 5 New Years resolutions for this upcoming year.
1. Watching what I eat
2. Exercising more (not gonna happen)
3. Value family more than I already do
4. Try really hard in school
5. Never judge a book by its cover
I am really looking forward to all the journeys in 2017, like completing my first year of high school, performing in my first musical "Tommy," and trying new things I would have never attempted before.
