The Pillow Fight

1. The joy that is shown in this photograph is eye catching and there is no denying that. I really like this photo because it's a moment that can't be posed again. If you had the Beatles reenact the scene, it most definitely wouldn't look right. It would feel the same.
2. The Pillow Fight was taken by Harry Benson when he was assigned to go to Paris to photograph the band. Harry originally did not want to go, but he ended up having a life long friendship with each of them after the trip. The photograph was taken when The Beatles received news that one of their songs hit No. 1 on the charts, and they jumped in excitement leading to a giant pillow fight.

1. The fact that this was the one of the very first photographs of the Earth from outer space is incredible! I love how there isn't anything that distracts you from staring right at the blue sphere in the middle of black darkness. I really enjoy that about the photo.
2. On the Apollo 8 spacecraft expedition, Three men went up and saw the Earth from a never seen before perspective. William Anders shot a photo from out the spacecraft window with just little time sharing a history changing photograph with people all across the world.
3. The video that was attached to the photograph of the moon, was of different videos of the launch of Apollo 8 and everyone getting ready for it. James Lovell (an astronaut that was on Apollo 8) talks about the whole experience and how the photo was shot. There was also a recording of the him and William Anders talking about colored film on the spacecraft.

1. I really like this photo because it really is just stunning. Not beautiful but just, you look at it in complete awe. It's really incredible how the photographer captured the exact moment of this photo with the expression of the child and the whole action in such clear function.
2. Stanley was called to a fire in Boston when there was building set in flames. There was a 19 year old girl with her grandchild at the top of the fire escape outside the building. All the sudden the fire escape gave way, and collapsed beneath their feet. As the two fell, Forman snapped his few captivating photos before turning away from the tragedy.

The Falling Man

1. We have talked about this particular photo in class, when which I thought it was a bloody awful photograph. I mean it was a great photo, but the whole concept of it was not something I digested right away. Now when I look at the photo, I think it is just absolutely beautiful and simple. Nothing is going on except a man falling against a striped building exterior.
2. This photo was snapped during the 9/11 attacks on the twin towers, the man knew he wasn't going to survive staying in the building or jumping, so he chose to spend his last moments just free falling.
Drew says the mans act of falling was a "symbol of individuality."
3. In the video, photographer of "The Falling man," Richard Drew explains his story behind the photograph. He tells of how he got to the towers, and what he saw that made him lift his camera to take the photograpah.

1. This photo is just a really fun picture that shows pure happiness. All the smiles catch your eye, making you wish you could have been part of that moment.
2.This photo was snapped by Bradley Cooper with a cellphone and it still turned out good. It was during the 2014 Oscar Awards when Ellen DeGeneres gathered some major celebrities for a selfie.
