High Schooler can Fall in Love
Bowie High School, and most other high schools are a social hub where clubs, gatherings, dances, and relationships start. Relationships as in friendships, connections with teachers, and introductions to new opportunities. Love in high school is a very controversial concept, and really depends on what you believe in. While some adults and students think that high school love is fake, other students and teachers feel they have or did find the one, in their youthful years in high school. Some students in relationships currently, state that they have found "the one." I wish that high school love was real, but I a not sure if I truly believe in it.

Recently all across the world, there was a planned march to stand up to government regarding the rights of women and the equality of their lives. Thousands of people came together here in Austin, Texas with posters, signs, and chants to state what they believe in.

It is still important to recognize that our government is first and foremost of the people, by the people, and for the people, granting us the right to challenge ideas we don't agree with." By Grace Widner

PHOTO OF BAZAN
The only thing that this photo could really use is more of a focus. The photo has Mr. Bazan to the side (using third person) but there is so many other distractions in the photo that takes away from seeing just him. I see a tad but of depth of field in this photo which is kind of cool.
PHOTO OF KATE STUBBS JUMPING
I really like this photo because they capture the jump really well. The photo has good avoiding of mergers, with the bars and equipment in the back, but not running into the subject, which is Kate.
Something I would probably do next time, even though the photographer avoiding mergers did well, is put the subject in front of more of a single color and or thing backdrop.
PHOTO OF GIRL FOREHEAD TO FOREHEAD WITH HORSE
This time, the photographer did not do so well at avoiding mergers. There is a pole in the background that looks like it is coming out of the girls head.... The lighting in this photo is really well actually, with the sun kind of setting in the back adding natural contrast to the photo.
PHOTO OF TECH CREW FOR TOMMY
Something I like in this photo, is that the photographer captured all the different emotions and facial expressions of the techs. It really adds character to this photo and makes it less bland. That would be the one thing I would change. While normally I would say take away detail, this time I think the photo needs MORE detail.
WOMENS MARCH: PARAMOUNT THEATER
The focus on the subject of this photo is really evident which is nice because nothing takes away from what you are supposed to be looking at. The light could have been adjusted better to make sure nothing is washed out.
My favorite photo in the entire papers really does have to be the photo of the Paramount Theater.
The quote "liberty and justice for all" is really focused on and then in the bottom of the photo you see the tons of people gathered together and there is balloons and posters and it really is a well captured photograph. The most evident composition rule I see is cropping. While the photo could have been more zoomed out and capture more than it needs to, it was cropped to insure the focus was the quote.
My least favorite photo in the newspaper is the photo of the tech crew of Tommy. There is not really anything going on, and doesn't really have any detail to capture you or make you like it.
The photography in this issue actually really impressed me. I didn't know we had such talented photographers here at Bowie and I find that really cool!
