American Soldier

1. The most powerful picture in my opinion was the "Down and Dirty" photograph. It shows the struggle Ian was holding in, and the pain he was facing. It has the gun, the flag, and he is in his uniform surrounded by his gear making it a very self explanatory photo, but a great one. 2. The photos are taken at different points in Ian's life over the course of a year. The photos from the beginning of it all show Ian saying goodbye to all his friends and family and his efforts to try and fit in the Army. As the photos go on, you can see the hardships he goes through, and the kind of experiences he faces and has to decide on. These factors all help put a story together with just photos. 3.The captions for all photos were really detailed and descriptive, which really helped the reader see what the photo was about. Each caption had what all captions should have, present tense, action verbs, date and, the 5 W's. These factors really described what was happening in the photos...

Student of the Month: Peyton Barry  1. How do you feel getting chosen to be the student of the month (SOTM)?  Terrific because I am so blessed to have won an admired title! 2. Why do you think you were chosen to be the SOTM?   I work hard in school, and get great grades! 3. Do you like going to school?   Absolutely! I love Bowie! 4. What kind of grades do you make?    Great ones 5. Do you think that people enjoy your company?    I do because I tend to be a very funny person and people seem to like that quality. 6. Mural Project

1. A theme that we could do here at school, could probably be sports, or fine arts, or academics or something of that sort. A theme we could do outside of school could be nature, people of austin, or the community around us. 2. We should definitely NOT only use phone cameras. One- they aren't accessible to everybody. Two- they aren't as good as quality as regular cameras. Plus regular cameras have a ton more effects you can play around with unlike on a cell phone.  3. I would probably want to put our mural up by the kennel or somewhere in the courtyard (a visible area) because both of those places are very populated hang out spots, so everyone would see it.
