Mural Project

My group chose the theme of "the transition in to fall" or "urban fall." My personal theme to follow was outfits of fall, or things people do in fall.

People wear sweaters and warm clothing to keep warm
when the weather starts to cool down.

Many girls start wearing boots, Uggs, more frequently
not only as a style of fashion, but to keep their feet and calves warm.

If you are trying to dress kind of nice, people go for more cool
and warm colors combined for a very fall feeling. Flower print is also
a common pattern on clothing in fall.

Many people wear shawls during fall as well as using the color
black as an accent color to add a little spice to your outfit.

If people are feeling a little confident, they combine shorts
and sweaters, as well as rocking some awesome fall brown boots.

Starbucks is very common place for people to get coffee and
other drinks year round. But we all know when fall begins, so does the
selling of PSL's aka Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

The local photographer I found is named Mercedes Morgan. I really like her style because it isn't the quirkiest or most unique photographs ever, but they have life and each photograph tells a story just by looking at, and don't even need a caption or a description.

I really like this photo, this whole series in fact, because they were not all random and nonsense
and they each had a feeling you felt when you looked at the photos.
This is a photo of Shabnum reading a letter addressed to her from her boyfriend Alim.
This picture has a composition of third person, but in a creative way.
Shabnum followed the letters directions to a market where she was handed flowers and balloons.
She smiled happily, not expecting what was coming next- another letter.
I like this photo because the photographer used a composition of a little of both balance and framing.

When Shabnum received the letter it told her to go downtown to UT, where
she found a big box of UT goodies. This photo has another form of framing but very subtle all at the same time.

Shabnum followed her last letter right into the presence of her boyfriend Alim,
where Mercedes revealed her identity and captured each moment when Alim went down on one knee.
The photographer really focused on avoiding mergers in this photo, ehich she accomplished, but I really wish the pillar was not right there.
The series ended with a big hug between the future wed couple, making viewers feel a sense of love
and connection. The photographer uses third person and simplicity in this photo, making the two stand out.
